North Denmark Region participates in educating Occupational Therapists and we also employ them. One can find Occupational Therapists at all the hospitals - somatic and psychiatric - and in our specialised institutions in North Denmark Region.
Occupational Therapists use their knowledge about the human anatomy and how we function physically, mentally and socially to determine what help is necessary for pa-tients with special needs to obtain a functioning everyday life. Both at home and – if possible – at work.
The Occupational Therapist education has a duration of 3½ years and vary between theoretical and clinical studies. The clinical part of the education can for instance take place at one of the hospitals or psychiatric facilities of North Denmark Region.
